December Preview I : WIP Ruins Center and More Thatch

One of the things I decided to work on for december is a center piece for all the ruins & scatter stuff. This will be a dual building that can either be a generic mausoleum type ruin or a ruin converted into a bandit hideout. Comments for feature requests welcome.

Thanks for your input on the thatch poll and all the constructive comments. I think  we finally have something here that ties it all together. The smaller of 2 thatches actually seems to print a bit better and also seems to thread the needle in terms of addressing realistic scale, graphic detail, and a more organic, lower class thatch.

Lastly I've made significant advances on our next kickstarter which will include a expanding warehouse and store system. I will be doing exclusive patron only previews for it till I get within a month of launch. Folks will have plenty of chances to help direct the development and features.

Cool, I'll get it worked in:)

Thanks for the comment Mario, I'll keep them coming:)

That sounds great

I really like the ruins. Very useful for all kind of games.

Mario Figge

Hmm, even busted windows could let troops through, but either would work for fantasy gang warfare

Jacob below made a request for a more gothic slant, I'm guessing something like that would help out with this?

Got it , less is more, I'll make some options for more open floors:)

Ruins are the best! I'm ayes for blown out walls, or holes in walls, especially if they span I've two levels. Love your work!

Mark Nolasco

Thanks a bunch David!

These are great.

David Dickson

You and me both:/

Thanks Jake, I hope so:)

You want full on wall blow outs instead of just busted windows?

Would it be possible for some evil type buildings along the chaos theme produced by the games workshop?

Donald Titmus

Big ruins look like big fun

All these ruins and lost roads, I smell a game of mordheim in my future. If I could add a small request in though an option to have more destroyed 2nd floor walls, so that minis could cross from building to building etc

Looks great. I have a TON of the ruins pieces primed, waiting for some evening time to paint up.

I understand, the roads are slow from being slightly slanted and then putting a build on top of that really ups the print time. Maybe developing a design for the ruin walls to clip into the sides of the road would be worth a look to get things back to a 12 hour range.

But my frostgrave table look gorgeus and more now that there's more variety to the types of ruins but with the same "style"

that would be perfect… roads mainly took everypiece nearly 24h :( I would expect something like half the time (as said not complaining because maybe it's what should take...but if something can be done to reduce times would be perfect...and i Print at 0,2 and quite "fast")

Antonio Miguel Martorell Ferriol

Thanks Antonio. I have surprise design feature I am going to try on these to take out some of the sting on the print times. I should have it on the next preview:)

Thanks Gene:)

Thanks Jacob. I'll see what I can do for that. I have an idea that might help with that. For sure I can start a new ruins series next month with a more overt gothic vibe.

I'm loving the ruins...even if some took forever to Print (would think that being scatter Terrain would be "fast" - not really a complaint) having some "more solid" as centerpiece of the ruins it's perfect… Good job

Looks great. I sold some of my prints to people who play Warhammer 40k/Kill team, and they would like a more gothic vibe, so if you can include that (possibly as a variant) that would be great.

Jacob

Looking forward to it!
