Wood And Stone Shack Ruins

These are highly detailed ruined stone and wood shack, each in 2 sizes. One size is a half body shack that will fit on many small resin printers. The larger version is designed to be FDM printed but a split version is available for people who want to resin print on a smaller plate. In either instance the roof is intended to be resin printed. The lower half will print FDM without supports. However FDM printing the roof will require tree or standard auto-supports on your slicer software. Notes on settings for this are provided in the files. Short story long, This file is ideal for builders who have both FDM and resin printing or large resin printers, but options are available for people who have limited options.

Leaning Shack Ruin

This is a highly detailed leaning ruined wood shack. This file is set up for builders who have both FDM and mono X scale resin printing available, FDM printing is possible with auto/tree supports. Notes included on setting that up. This is a daredevil design with experimental features.

Rubble Building Ruin

A small building or chapel completely reduced to rubble. Contains chitubox file for resin printing on monoX build plate or larger. Otherwise includes both resin and fdm style model. will print fdm without supports, requires 8 inch build plate.

Paper Mill

This is a medieval Paper Mill set for resin printing. Chitbox support files included and tested. Set includes:

The crown jewel of this set will be the hammer mills for pulp making. This water wheel driven giant slowly lifts and drops giant hammers that slowly break up cotton rags and other fibers for making pulp. Includes option for a pulp mill with one set of hammers instead of three shown in image. Other things include the presses for pushing extra water out of the paper. On these presses, paper is placed between felts and absorb the extra water. We also have some mold and deckles on tables.  There are a couple versions of retting tubs. These are use for both vellum and rag paper making. Lye is mixed with animal skins or cotton rags and allowed to ferment. Finally we have drying racks, a pulp tub, and storage shelves with stacked paper.

Comments

Hi Alex. The models are exported supported in chitubox, I hollow and drain hole them as well when needed. Having said that, these sort of models aren't as touchy as character models. If you keep support density around 55%-60% and angle them at maybe 30 degrees they will be fine. Generally just position it so the flat sides load up with supports, though that higher density fixes things for tight fits at wild angles too. Stick with medium or light supports on everything.

Hey GS3D - are the resin models presupported? Lychee? Inquiring resubscribers wanna know! :)

It's this free one over on thingiverse it looks like. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4568326

United States Love these, but I'm curious if you have the STL files for that beautiful windmill in the expanded scene?

https://www.mediafire.com/file/p343xr32bvtfm99/April_Images.zip/file copy and paste, i'll throw it on the DL page as well. some images in there from last month too

Thanks Bil, I'll continue with more stuff like this for this month. Also most of the pieces can manage a 40-50% size reduction without issues other than you having to put in the supports. Only paper drying racks with paper sheets can't be shrunk down and the tables .

But where are the pics in the downloads? Please!!!

That Paper Mill is fantastic. So many details and great pieces.
