tattoo apprenticeship vlog: week one! ♡

Finally had time to finish the first official vlog of my apprenticeship diaries. I recently became a tattoo apprentice in early July at soma tattoo studio here in Orlando, FL and I wanted to share the entire process - start to finish! It's a 3 month long process, and I'm currently finishing up week 7 (already?? which is so nuts).
I've been filming almost every day and am currently working on the second vlog~ I will be sharing the videos with you all on here first, so my lovely patrons can have the first look. ◡̈
Can't wait to share the rest of it. I've been learning so much and feel as though I'm right where I need to be.

I can’t wait to see what you think of it :) And wow that’s so interesting. Florida’s tattooing laws are much more lax. I was surprised when I learned the program I’m currently doing was only 3 months! But it’s very intensive and I’m there 3-4 full days a week (8 hours daily). And I would be SO honored to be able to tattoo you one day. Truly. Thank you so much for your support throughout the years and of course your kindness! 😭😭

I’m excited to watch it though - I’m always interested in how other states do apprenticeships (in MN it’s 200 supervised tattooing hours which typically ends up taking 6-12 months, but MN is the strictest state about tattooing after OR. My apprenticeship was about 5 months, but that was 11 years ago and they’ve changed some rules since then). Thanks for letting us follow on this journey with you! Hopefully I can get a tattoo from you someday, I’ve loved your work for yeeeeears ❤️
