Patreon Newsletter #41: March 2025

Magic Tavern Updates/News:

From Arnie:

Went on a nice little vacation with Emily back to Key Largo to lay by the pool and sip on slightly watered-down drinks. It was perfect timing because while we were gone it was -5 degrees in Chicago.

Hope you’re enjoying March Magic. My only plea is that people please vote for Elisabeth Sparkle! She’s been through so much!

TV – In no particular order.

Movies – Best to less best.

From Matt:

February 2025

By the time you see this, we have already shared a video of our most recent episode, Dripfang’s Apprentice. So excited that you all get to watch this episode being recorded in this video. Hoping to spend the remainder of the year working to make things around me better in the ways that I can.

Games

More Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but I’m already getting a little bored with it. I may move on, but haven’t had time to dive into a new game.

TV/Movies/Web stuff:

We watched The Apothecary Diaries and Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits on Crunchyroll. Plus I’ve got about 6 episodes left of Double Zeta Gundam before I can move on through the Universal Century and watch Char’s Counterattack. Then I go back for the OVAs and maybe Victory Gundam? Or I skip that and watch some other timelines. Also, and always, burning through the entire Food Network catalogue on MAX.

Food:

Not too much to report. Tried out Izakaya Shinya after an Improvised Shakespeare show a couple of weeks ago. It’s a place that does Japanese style street food. It was really good and a lot of fun. Recommend checking it out.

From Adal:

Here’s what I consumed in February. Let me know if you have any recommendations for me!

I've been collecting The Origin Manga (which is more of a retelling of MSG so far). I think the anime is pretty different. - MY

Matt: Have you watched MS Gundam: The Origin? It was my first exposure to Gundam, and I honestly found it to be kind of tedious, but now that I’m 15 episodes into the original MSG (which is great) I’m glad I spent the time on it. SHOE!

Chuck Metcalf

@Matt- Victory Gundam is honestly worth it.
