Late Night Ramble About Creativity and Doubt

Oh boy.

Comments

Sweetheart, your charm, and the charm of your recordings is not that you are niche, or that you capitalise on the sweetness or novelty of your voice, it is the patent honesty of your recordings. Theybare edited wonderfully, yet every one includes part of yourself, your inner world, your imagination, your insecurity, your desires and Hope's, your fears, and your absolutely diabolically enchanting sense of humour. (That Alpaca, for example, who is both terrifying and cuddly.) The weirder twists are what make you unique. "Niche", does you disservice. You create an auditory banquet of styles, changes, characters, treats, thrills, creepiness, and corgis, which enchant me anew with each new creation. Believe me, please: I understand doubt. I live it. But when you create such enchanting diversity, it suggests vast vistas of value and character within you, that your recordings will only ever reflect. Thank you for creating and sharing all that you do.

If you made audios all of a certain type of audio it would be niche, when you have 10 different niches you are just ridiculously creative. As far as numbers making you successful, you have 22 million views on old channel, and already topping 2 million views on Sweetheart Audio. Channels with bigger sub count may have less audios but don't come near to your total view count.

I would be lucky to be creative enough to be niche. You're doing five things at once, meanwhile I can barely focus on one thing at a time. Although with the variety of audios you do, niche is not the word I would choose to describe your work. Remember how excited you were to start up Sweetheart and leave the imagined pressure to perform behind. You're strange, and people love you for it.

Also-- "Wouldn't you like to be a Pepper, too?" (No, no she would not. Sweetheart doesn't like Dr. Pepper.)

As a creative sort myself, some days are better than others. Some years are better than others. Long ago, I aspired to be a tabletop RPG writer for someone like Palladium Books, West End Games, or FASA. Hell, I had a 'Mech design published in BattleTechnology magazine (the SA-CTP-005 Clytemnestra, much like its namesake, it was really stabby). I wrote tons and tons of setting material, including characters, vehicles, weapons, locations and even scraps of stories linking them all. Looking back, there's some cringey stuff, but there's some really cool stuff in there, too. Lately, and by lately I mean the past several years, I've had a creative dry spell. Listening to you and Tea, and Panthera and the others has renewed that creative spark. You do remember me posting that YouTube audio, right? "Acquainted With The Night" was inspired by you and one of your old YouTube Patreon rambles from way back.

Sweetheart you are absolutely creative. No matter what others might say. Your recent audios I enjoy alot. And as for consuming alot of media its cool too ☺ were all different in our own way.
