Ocean Exploration Ship's Helm (Pin Upgrade+Revision)
Added 2020-05-16 03:11:00 +0000 UTC5.15.2020 I'm running low on a few of my ship's helm pins from my Ocean Exploration kickstarter I ran back in 2018! Although the designs themselves are still some that are very near and dear to my heart, I was unhappy about one aspect of the pins that I didn't realize when I put them through production after my kickstarter completion, and that was the placement of the recessed metal on the helm and hourglass (I meant to have the details recessed but instead, they ended up making the metal itself which gave it almost a soft enamel kind of look T_T;;;).
It was an unexpected mistake that still turned out nice, but not quite to the degree I wanted so now that I'm running low, I'm hoping to reprint them and even change them up when I can (for example, adding a spinning arrow on the compass, a design that wasn't funded by the KS). For the ship's helm, I'm looking to have it revised so that the wheel is a separate piece that can spin and add another spinny pin to the collection! I've been working with a few manufacturers to see how it'll turn out so I'll keep updating whenever I get word from them!
Although I debated on increasing the size to 2" to match my compass, in the end I decided to stick with 1.5" (true to the size of the original) just since it still looks so ncie in the size I originally created it in!
