All I want to do is work on this game

I got my day/night cycle working over the weekend. Since the game is intended to take place in one specific region of the game world, I need to decide what real-world timezone to adopt in order to keep things consistent.

Considering the game takes place (most likely) in a tropical archipelago, would it make sense to choose somewhere like that, or will that mean most play testers would be playing in the middle of the night or very early morning, game-time, and never during the day?

Fun issues to address and consider.

I’ve also considered forcing 2 days into a 24 hour cycle, so the Syndical Crossing day would only be 12 hours long. That would be in the hopes of making the game potentially more varied for more players.

Personally, I like tying it to the 24 hour day, because it grounds it in our reality even though the game does not take place on our Earth.
