It's their world and their story, it's not like a pre-established set of rules they have to follow, "Remember mutations are usually fatal, only very minute mutations over a given period survive and are adapted." Like what are you referring to with this, real world? Mutants exist in Fallout but nobody's gonna criticise them because "mutations are usually fatal". Don't be so boring.

What happens when people eat them, parasite, symbiosis. Blood samples from surviving mutants used in the injected and potential side effects physiology, psychic... esp... Remember mutations are usually fatal, only very minute mutations over a given period survive and are adapted. While for survival, one species can like frogs self replicate for one or two generations they still die out if new material not added. So the futa desires could survive to a point. But look at hermephradites and the likely hood of species survival reliant on that and the size of the actual mutations. Its like the false belief that sex with dogs is long lasting and satisfying. Ok I can deal with fantasy, but move it a bit more with sci fi too, not just huge leaps. You have to introduce an alien species interference to make leaps or a mad scientist like the ones trying to destroy humanity now making chimeras. But best to start with mammals, not arachnids imo. Its yuck on appeal.
