As far as I can tell I THINK if you become a $5 (Tier Two) patron today you will pay $5 and THEN tomorrow you'll pay again. There should be a grace period but I don't see anything about that. So... if funds are tight wait until tomorrow to become a $5 patron... IF YOU CAN!!! MWAA HAAA HAAA HAAA HAAA!!!
