So I've been wanting to try out a different shading style I picked up from an artist I've been following, so I picked out a few pictures to test it out as well as time how long it takes. The first picture I chose was a Kurome pic from one of my previous request pages.
Overall, this style has a lot more soft shade detail, with each major part (the hair, skin, and clothes) having twice as many shading layers. What I like the most about this style is the hair. It's not as prominent with dark colored hair, but it a lot better than what I've done in the past in my opinion. Still, with so many shading layers and detail, my coloring time has subsequently spiked as well. This is pretty much "Full-Shade" now and will have a price raise as far as commissions go.
Also, despite how nice this is, at the same time, it's most likely not a shading style I want to use that much, since I like to see a lot of my stuff in color. Think this might just be the shading style that I use when I either want to impress people or want to give to a picture I really like.
Anyway, hope you all like this!
