2023-07-30 17:19:28 +0000 UTCIf I remember correctly, I think one detail that everyone missed in the Beer Money vs Steiner & Booker match is that the way they had Hebner get beer in his eyes was that when Storm spat beer in Steiner's face, Steiner got some of it on his face & wiped it into Hebner's eyes (who was standing close to Steiner). It was done pretty lazily, but I do remember Steiner's hand going near Hebner's face. Now, that does not excuse the idiocy of the finish with Hebner & Storm & the pin. One of the stupidest finishes I can remember (in execution, at least).

Vince Russo believes because wrestling is "fake," that means "nothing actually means anything" and so the rules, stipulations, titles, outcomes of matches, and consistent characters don't matter, and that is how he books shows. For all his myraid failings, Jim Cornette was right about one thing: Vince Russo does not like or respect pro-wrestling as a sport nor a story medium and is therefore incapable of booking it well. It's the same reason spiteful parodies are never actually as funny as the ones that have love for the source material. And this is one Oligarchy I will absolutely support: Heroes of Wrestling for next month!
