2025-04-09 23:25:33 +0000 UTCMinor correction Olli: sheamus wouldn’t have been the 1st person to win consecutive rumbles. That accolade belongs to stone cold who won in 97 and 98. Despite the 97 match being controversial due to him being previously eliminated by Bret hart the ringside officials failed to catch it. Stone cold reentered the ring, eliminated the remaining competitors and was awarded the match. The controversy surrounding his recently led to the promised title match being stripped and instead the final 4 competitors, stone cold, Bret, the undertaker and psycho Sid competed in a mini tournament to decide a new wwf champion. However, the strange circumstances don’t change the fact that in the official record books stone cold Steve Austin is the winner of the 97 rumble. Evidenced by the fact he’s constantly touted as a 3 time winner of the match. His wins being in 97, 98, and 01. Meaning he won 2 straight in 97 and 98. And he probably would have also won in 99 had they not had 11 more weeks of attitude era raw to write, so, that distinction instead went to Vince McMahon with stone cold being the runner up/final elimination. Also another minor correction: not sure if Luke’s mistake or the commentary but no 3MB would NOT have a 30% chance of winning they’d have a 10% chance of winning. 3/30 isn’t 30% it’s 10%

He's rich and successful, but still has that slight disaffection, but unlike someone like CM Punk, the platonic ideal of "unable to be cool because he wants it too badly," Orton doesn't seem to have frozen all his shite mid-20s opinions in amber. I think being cool is being open to change at any point in your life, it's why James Dean still works, but 95% of the crap he inspired doesn't.

2025-03-16 22:05:00 +0000 UTCI went to this show with my kids and have two memories of it. 1) The pop for Jericho's reveal was the loudest I've ever heard a crowd in that arena, and I've seen the Suns win Conference Playoff games to go to the NBA Finals there. 2) Standing at a urinal during the Rock's lame promo and hearing enough of it to say, "What? He's ripping off Dusty?" Like, the Rock is one of the greatest promos ever and instead of something original, he just straight up copied someone else's homework.
