iOS App Pricing Update: Save Money on Your Membership
Added 2025-02-14 15:02:01 +0000 UTCIf you haven't heard already, Patreon has implemented Apple's in-app purchase system for all iOS users. This means that if you subscribe through the Patreon iOS app, Apple will now take a 30% cut of your payment as their App Store fee.
Nothing changes for existing subscribers, and all membership perks remain exactly the same regardless of how you subscribe.
However, if you've subscribed very recently or are thinking about subscribing, then I recommend you consider subscribing through Patreon's website instead of the iOS app. When you subscribe via web, you'll pay the regular price, and I'll receive the same amount either way.
For example, a $10 membership would cost you $14.50 through the iOS app, but only $10 through the website, and I would receive virtually the same amount in both cases.

Thank you for pointing that out. It sucks how quickly can the total cost of membership increase due to taxes and fees. I'll always offer at least one affordable tier with real perks (not just a "thank you" tier).
