Pale-Face Ululare

Arsululatus susurrus

A species which belong to Ululatae or shrieker family. Pale-face Ululare has higher intelligence compared to the other genus and species of shrieker and they live in a larger group. Unlike other Ululare, they don’t have the ability to produce lethal scream, instead, they use their directional voice projection ability to disorient, distract, and lure their prey away from its group. The pale-face has multiple flexible vocal cords that allow them to mimic any sounds. Combining all of them with their intelligence that even give them the capability to understand simple word along with its context, make them a very cunning and effective hunter. They will mimic voices and direct them only at a specific individual without others noticing to try luring it away from its group or toward a more favorable ambush location before attacking it using their razor-sharp claws.

Inspired by a directional loudspeaker installed in some museum where you need to stand in a specific area in order to hear the sound, I made this creature using the previously made 'Ululare'. When I made Ululare for the prompt 'Mask' and applying 'directional scream' as its weapon, the idea popped out in my head. What if instead of firing a high-frequency sound cannon, you use it to deliver a sound that can only be heard by the target.

You've heard this kind of thing before in horror movie, you hear something but no one else can. It piqued your curiosity and cause you to split up from your friends. I was wondering can it be used for animals? Maybe targeting a fawn by mimicking its mother's call, or mimicking fawn's cry to lure its mother.
