Broch is a creature which typically found around a volcanic area, but some species such as Cinder Broch can be found living in a forest and desert. They have a naturally high body temperature and need to maintain it that way. Their body is almost completely immune to fire and has the ability to spit out a flammable liquid. Their rodent-like teeth when struck each other could produce a spark of fire just like a flint.
They often snuck into a fireplace during mating season, because unlike the adult, their egg and hatchling can’t maintain their body temperature and need to be placed near a fire.
Born from a wordplay from 'Tinderbox' and some myth about salamander, I give you The Cinder Broch. Don't worry, they mostly eat moss and insect, so if you found them in your fireplace it's best to leave them alone as they'll make your embers and fire last longer and your place warmer.
