Aurora, Shield of The Dawn

This shield has been passed down through generations of the Morning Lord's champions. The shield was created by the Dawnfather himself 8000 years ago, and it's powers can only be wielded by someone chosen by him. Lathander is high god of the Sun. He is a god of life, light, and justice. The knights that follow his path swear to walk the path of righteousness, protect the weak and innocent, to strive towards peace whenever possible, and to lead others towards the path of redemption.

The champion that wields the shield is considered a paragon of Lathander's faith.

The shield's power allows you to protect your allies from harm even if they're a short distance away.

It can be thrown to strike at multiple enemies and will always return to it's wielder. When wielded by the shield's chosen champion, it glows with the light of the sun. The shield has three forms, and it's wielder can change between the three at will. The first is a more compact shield that can be easily held on the arm. It can also expand into a large tower shield to help form a barrier. Finally, it can fold into itself and become a gauntlet onto the wielder's arm, letting them strike at their foes with the full force of the sun.
