Hell Hopper

These pairs of boots were made from insects with the same name. The Hell Hopper, also known as the Blast Hopper, is a giant grasshopper that can be found in the outskirts of Al’az forest. It has a unique self-defense mechanism that utilizes its innate magical abilities. Just like a regular grasshopper, it can use its powerful jump to instantly escape from its predators, but the Hell Hopper can also cause an explosive detonation as it kicks to scare off and even injure predators. Followers of NIhaya’Khayr use a secret technique to create a pair of boots that allows the wearer to utilize the powerful jump and the explosive kick of the Hell Hopper.

When you’re attuned to these boots, you can jump two times the normal distance, though you can't jump farther than your remaining movement would allow. In addition, you don’t take fall damage from a height that is equal to the maximum height of your high jump.

Awaken. As a bonus action, you can spend a hit dice in order to awaken the boots for 1 minute. For the duration, you can jump three times the normal distance, and your speed increases by 10 feet. In addition, unarmed attacks made with these boots deal 1d6 bludgeoning damage.

Arthropod Armaments. If you have multiple Arthropod Armaments with the Awaken feature equipped, you can use the same bonus action to awaken any number of them. You need to spend one or more hit dice per armament that you want to awaken.

Meteor Kick. If you move at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hit it with an unarmed attack using these boots in the same turn, the target takes an extra 1d6 fire damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

When you hit a target with the Meteor Kick ability, you can spend and roll one or more of your hit dice and add the total rolled to the fire damage. The target is pushed 5 feet away from you for each hit dice you spend.

Another one for the Arthropod Armaments collection. This one obviously inspired by Kamen Rider (I think they call it Masked Rider in west?), ability to just burn your life force for that one finishing kick is just sounds cool to me~

I think after this I'll work on a creature. But, I still have a lot of idea for this insect themed items so I'll probably continue this for a little bit for the monthly items.
