Wondrous Item, Rare (requires attunement)
This gauntlet is made from one of the most dangerous insects in the Al’az forest, The Scarlet Sting Hornet. It’s a species of giant hornet endemic to the region and infamous for its aggressive nature as well as the number of humanoid casualties caused per year. Although considerably smaller than other species of giant hornets, its stinger can inject a very powerful venom that can paralyze an adult with just one or two stings. In some cases, it can cause a severe allergic reaction that kills the victim in a couple of minutes if left untreated. Although not as potent as the one produced by a live Scarlet Sting Hornet, Necrotic Needle’s stinger still has the ability to produce the insect’s signature venom.

Stinger. The stinger mounted on the forearm of this gauntlet can be extended and retracted as a free action. The stinger counts as a simple melee weapon with finesse property and it deals 1d4 piercing damage plus an extra 1d4 poison damage.
Awaken. As a bonus action, you can spend a hit dice in order to awaken the gauntlet for 1 minute. You gain +1 to attack and damage rolls made with the stinger, and its damage changes to 1d6 piercing damage plus an extra 1d6 necrotic damage.
Arthropod Armaments. If you have multiple Arthropod Armaments with the Awaken feature equipped, you can use the same bonus action to awaken any number of them. You need to spend one or more hit dice per armament that you want to awaken.
Anaphylactic Shock. When you deal necrotic damage with the awakened stinger, you can use your reaction to spend one of your hit dice and add the total rolled to the necrotic damage. The creature must succeed a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the end of your next turn.
When you use this feature again on a creature already poisoned by the stinger, that creature must succeed a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. The paralyzed creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the target is immune to the poison for the next 24 hours.
