Armor (Plate), artifact (requires attunement by a creature with a minimum strength score of 18)
The Gilded Giant is a set of heavy armor that was created from the body of one of Nihaya’khayr iterations. It’s bestowed upon the chosen guardian of the goddess that protects her during her rebirth cycle. Those warriors also have the responsibility to make sure the old body of the goddess is not disturbed and properly absorbed by nature. Because the guardians are chosen during the rebirth cycle, and their armor was made using the body of that specific iteration of Nihaya’khayr, each generation of guardians has armor with slightly different abilities. Gilded Giant is the 105th generation of guardians that were made during the early incursion from the Children of One cult, Al’az forest is one of few places where the cult was unable to breach because of the guardian that protects the forest and extremely devoted followers of Nihaya’khayr which faith is unshaken by the cult’s propaganda.
----------------------------------------
Gilded Giant is a full set of armor that includes a helmet, pair of gauntlets, and boots that can’t be replaced except with other Arthropod Armaments. While attuned to and wearing this armor, you have an advantage on Strength checks and saving throws and you can’t be knocked prone.
Awaken. As a bonus action, you can spend 3 or more hit dice in order to awaken the armor for 1 minute. You gain temporary hit points equal to the total of the hit dice rolled and you gain the following abilities for the duration:
- Your size doubles in all dimensions and your weight is multiplied by eight. This growth increases your size by one category—from Medium to Large, for example. If there isn't enough room for you to double its size, you attain the maximum possible size in the space available.
- You gain a +2 bonus to your AC.
- You have resistance to fire damage.
- Your limbs become natural weapons with the reach property that deal 2d8 piercing or bludgeoning damage on hit. You are proficient with these natural weapons and you use your Strength modifier for attack and damage rolls. When you hit a target with an attack using your natural weapons, you can attempt to grapple the target as a bonus action.
Arthropod Armaments. If you have multiple Arthropod Armaments with Awaken feature equipped, you can use the same bonus action to awaken any number of them. You still need to spend at least 1 or more hit dice per armament that you want to awaken.
Overcharge. When you have less than half of your maximum hit points while the armor is awakened, you can use a bonus action to spend 1 or more hit dice to overcharge your armor for 1 minute. You gain temporary hit points equal to the total of the hit dice rolled and you gain additional effects for the duration:
- Your size doubles in all dimensions and your weight is multiplied by eight. This growth increases your size by one category—from Large to Huge, for example. If there isn't enough room for you to double its size, you attain the maximum possible size in the space available.
- You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
- Melee attacks with the natural weapons granted by this armor deal an extra 3d6 fire damage.
- At the start of each of your turns, you and any creatures within 10 feet of you take 1d6 fire damage.
After the Overcharge effect ends, you gain 1 point of exhaustion.

One day you wake up and suddenly think... let's go crazy with this item. That's what happen here. This armor is basically an end game items just like The King's Gaze, but I think it could be easily downgraded by removing some of its effects in case you want to give it to a lower level characters. OR you can combine it with other arthropod armaments and create a character that resemble a Kamen Rider's final form!
The design and ability are also somewhat influenced by elden ring. For example, that Overcharge ability is basically giving your character "Music change and second health bar appear" moment... XD
Thank you so much for Archivist Suprluigibro (or Supercat on our discord server XD) that help me adjust the stats for this item.
PS: The files for this item will be added to the March Rewards folders that I sent out a couple days ago. BUT if you haven't receive the link, please let me know via Patreon Message or discord.
