Six Stingers

The Six Stingers is a standard armament commonly used by a group of rangers called the Keeper of The Swarm that guards the border of Al’az forest. It’s made from a Golden Archer Bee, a species of giant bee that can shoot its stinger to attack its enemy from a long distance. Their traditional crafting technique allows them to preserve the bee’s ability to shoot their stinger, allowing the rangers to wield a melee weapon that can also serve as a long-range weapon. They also create a quiver that can produce a stinger that can still pump the venom continuously when it’s stuck on the target body.

The Six Stingers is a magical weapon consisting of a sword handle and beehive-shaped quiver containing up to 6 stingers that can be loaded into the handle. You gain a +1 to attack roll on your attack roll using the stinger, and on a hit, it deals an additional 1d8 poison damage. The handle can be loaded with a crossbow bolt, but it deals non-magical damage and no additional poison damage.

Venomous Dart. You can make a ranged attack using this weapon using the stinger or a crossbow bolt as the ammunition. When used this way, this weapon is considered a Hand Crossbow.

When you hit a creature with a ranged attack using the stinger as the ammunition, the stinger is stuck on the creature until itself or others use an action to pull it out with DC 13 athletic check. At the start of its turn, the creature with at least one stinger has to make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or takes 1d8 poison damage for each stinger currently stuck on its body and becomes poisoned until the end of its next turn on a failed save. If its saving throw result is 5 or lower, the poisoned target is paralyzed for 1 minute or until it takes damage from something other than the stinger’s poison.
