Swordtember Day 30 - Anthem

And there it is, folks! took me 2 months to finish it, but who cares? I did it XD

Thank you so much for the support, encouragement, challenging prompts, and a lot of help and inspiration you gave me throughout the process. I can never do this without you all, so thank you.

Next up, I'm going to rest for a week or two, then finish the long pending character pages for Seaz Ambermane. After that, I'll start scheduling for Trial of Ink. I want to return to doing that again, even though it's long past Inktober.

So here it is, the last entry for Swordtember 2022~!

Exalted Echo

Weapon (Greatsword), Legendary (requires attunement by Bard)
Exalted Echo is a holy weapon wielded by Lady Irina Aetherea, a legendary songstress warrior that fought the Chaos Touched during the First Chaos Insurgency. Legend said that the weapon was created and given to the half-celestial songstress by her mother, The Everlight. This weapon can enhance and turn her beautiful voice into a powerful holy weapon that can wipe out hundreds of her enemies in a blink of an eye. At the moment, it’s being shown in the main hall of Aetherea Academy, an educational institute created by Lady Irina to gather and nurture future artists and storytellers. Although many talented artists have tried to use it, no one has been able to draw out its true power.
—------------------------------------
You become proficient with this magic weapon when you’re attuned to it. You can use this weapon as a spell focus, and you can use your Charisma modifier for the attack and damage rolls. In addition, you gain an additional use of your bardic inspiration equal to your proficiency bonus.
Ascended’s Aria. As an action, you can begin to perform The Ascended’s Aria starting from the 1st Verse. You must roll a DC 17 Performance check to make the sword react to you. On a successful check, your movement speed is halved, but the effect of the 1st Verse is activated. On a failed check, nothing happens.  At the start of each turn, you can use your bonus action to do another Performance check to continue to the next part of the song, adding a new effect to the previous verses.
1st Verse (DC 17). While The Ascended’s Aria is being performed, a crowd of spectral celestials manifests in 15 feet radius centered on you. Any creature of your choosing has a half cover inside the area. In addition, any spell that you cast that has a verbal component deals an additional 1d8 radiant damage or regains an additional 1d8 hit points if it is a healing spell.
2nd Verse (DC 19). Your movement speed is reduced by 5 feet, but the crowd size expands by 5 feet, and the additional radiant damage and healing becomes 2d8. While the 2nd Verse is being performed, you can use your reaction to give your bardic inspiration to a creature. In addition, whenever you or a creature within the area of effect use your bardic inspiration, all creatures that you choose within the area gain temporary hit points equal to the bardic inspiration die rolled + your Charisma modifier.
3rd Verse (DC 21). Your movement speed is reduced by 5 feet, but the crowd size expands by 5 feet. While the 3rd Verse is being performed, any creature you choose that enters the area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there must make a Charisma saving throw against your spellcasting DC. On a failed save, they take 3d10 radiant damage, and their speed is halved. On a successful save, they take half damage, but their speed is not halved.
4th Verse (DC 24). Your movement speed becomes 0, but the crowd size expands by 5 feet. While the 4th Verse is being performed, you are floating above the ground, and you can use a bonus action to teleport up to 30 feet in any direction. In addition, a creature that failed their saving throw against the 3rd Verse effect is stunned until the end of your next turn.
Ascension! While the 4th Verse is being performed, you can use your action to end the song. As the song is about to end, 5 celestial spirits appear wielding the sword parts as their weapon. You can make 5 melee spell attacks against any creature within the area of effect, each dealing 4d10 radiant damage + your Charisma modifier on a hit. After that, the song ends, and you lose your voice until you finish a long rest.

Oh, it actually can fold together into a solid sword. The artwork shows how it looks when the user performs the aria, but when it's used to make an attack, it can fold back together. I want to add those details in the effect text, but the text is already too long XD

I gotta say, This is one of the only few sword designs that I've seen that fan out from the tip's point as opposed to the hilt. While incredible impractical looking, the weapon is Bursting at the seams with flavour and grandeur. This Celestial, Harp-strung, Microphone blade mirrors the look of fanned out angel wings, and the folding struts give it just enough stability to look like it could fold together into a more usable arrangement. Excellent piece.

Congrats on finishing it! This one looks absolutely stunning.
