Deck of Major Arsenal

Wondrous item, Legendary (require attunement)

Created by Ergatis, the Goddess of Forge and Fortune, the Deck of Major Arsenal is a portable vault that stores weapons crafted by her champions during the First Chaos Insurgency. During this calamity, she descended to the material realm to establish the Grand Forge on the highest peak of the White Spine mountain range, the final barrier against the invading Outsiders. The mountain dwellers united, armed with weapons forged by Ergatis' artisans at the Grand Forge, and fought valiantly to buy time for the main force to prepare. Despite their eventual defeat, they succeeded in delaying the enemy long enough for the celestial champions to complete their preparations, ultimately stopping the invasion and averting true catastrophe.

During this period, Ergatis and her followers suffered significant losses. The civilization of the White Spine mountain range was eradicated, with some cultures lost entirely, and the Grand Forge itself was buried as the peak was destroyed. However, to immortalize the deeds and masterpieces of her artisans, Ergatis used her weakened divine power to gather the remaining magical weapons and encase them in metal cards, each representing an artisan and the weapon they created.

The deck contains 22 metal cards, each representing a different weapon. When a card is drawn, it melts and transforms into the corresponding weapon, which you become proficient with. You can use your Strength, Dexterity, or Spellcasting ability for the attack and damage rolls with these weapons regardless of their properties. The conjured weapon lasts for 1 hour, or until a new card is drawn, after which the weapon disappears and the card returns to the deck. The same card cannot be drawn again until the next dawn. Drawing a card is akin to drawing or sheathing a weapon. To determine the drawn card, roll a 1d20; if you roll a previously drawn card, reroll until a new card is obtained. Attacks made by these weapons gain a bonus to attack and damage roll equal to half your proficiency bonus, and the DC for each effect is 12 + your proficiency bonus.

Combination of the prompt Tarot + battle deity + transform, This is a bit of a special item. I got the idea when one of you suggested the prompt 'Tarot' in one of the prompt collection occasions. It gave me the idea to create this crazy item (so much so that I need to use a different layout format XD). It's probably too much and too strong, but I hope some of you can find a way to use it.

In the process of making this item, I end up making a rather serious template and the design for two of the tarot cards. My concept is that each card also depicts the weapon that will be summoned when the card is drawn (like the reddish-pink rapier on the Magician card) and the purple crescent dagger on the High Priestess.

I'm not sure if anyone would like to see the rest, so let me know if you do; if enough people are interested, I'll consider making a couple of cards each month until we get at least all the major arcana (if I'm crazy enough, maaaybe minor arcana too XD)
