Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a creature missing a leg)

This imposing prosthetic leg was forged from the salvaged anchor of the Azure Lioness Fleet, a legendary naval force that once clashed with the leviathan Kaer’dalos. The anchor, along with wreckage from other fleets, mysteriously resurfaced along the eastern shores of Tierra and Ariasfel. These items, believed lost to the depths of the Farima Ocean, were curiously imbued with powerful magic upon their recovery. Among the discoveries were several enchanted anchors, though how such ordinary objects came to possess extraordinary magical properties remains a mystery.

One such anchor was purchased by Captain Osiva of the notorious Sunken Pride Pirates. With it, he commissioned the creation of a prosthetic leg to replace his missing one. The anchor’s raw magical power was harnessed, transforming it into a heavy yet functional limb. Beyond mere utility, the prosthetic imbued Osiva with remarkable abilities: he could stride effortlessly across water and bring ships within his vicinity to an abrupt halt, regardless of their size.

Sea Leg. While attuned to it, your movement speed is reduced by 5 feet, however, you cannot be moved against your will by non-magical means. Additionally, you can choose to walk on any liquid surface as if it were harmless solid ground, regardless of the liquid’s condition. While you are submerged in a liquid, you can use bonus action to propel you to the surface of the liquid at a rate of 60 feet per round.  

Anchor Drop. As an action, you can slam the prosthetic leg into the ground or water, unleashing magical chains. Each creature of your choice within 15 feet must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 15 or 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier, whichever is higher) or be restrained for 1 minute. Restrained creatures take 1d6 bludgeoning damage at the start of their turn and can use their action to make a Strength (Athletics) check against the same DC to free themselves.

When used on a body of water at least 10 feet deep, the radius doubles to 30 feet, the DC increases by 2, and the chains also affect objects, including ships. Restrained ships are immobilized, unable to move regardless of wind or propulsion. Creatures in water restrained in this way have disadvantage on escape checks.

The chains dissipate after 1 minute or when you end the effect as a bonus action. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.

Still related to the previous 'prosthetic', Fathom Fist. Also, kinda an NPC that wore both of them. There are also several other options for the weapon, but I'll probably give him Abyssal Anchor

Loving these prosthetics! My first D&D character was a war survivor (Artificer) who artistically procured magical prosthetics for other survivors in his downtime. Wish I still played him!
