Pan’s X-rays
Added 2020-03-29 16:38:12 +0000 UTCWe wanted to share with you the x-rays that were taken of Pan’s broken leg at the vet on the weekend. We will have an update from the specialist, hopefully tomorrow, which will give us an indication of whether they think they can repair the leg or whether unfortunately he will need an amputation.
As you can see, the lateral view of the leg break gives you the best idea of how severe a break it is. We’ve said before that fox bones aren’t rough and tough like dog bones, they’re very delicate, more like bird bones, is the best way that we’ve had them described.
Pan was in this condition for at least a week before we got to him so we can only imagine how much pain he’s been in and how uncomfortable he has been.
Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for Pan, that no matter what happens and what we need to do to give him the best life possible, we’re able to make that decision quickly.
