Don't know if it is the SaveAFox influence but I have been enjoying watching You Tube videos about flying foxes (large fruit bats) and a lady who rescues them. They are actually very cute with small fuzzy faces that are almost dog-like. The woman knows her stuff in tending to their ailments and treats them like babies, all swaddled up in soft blankets to keep them warm and safe. There is a real science to the care of any animal and I enjoy learning. I had a small bedroom once with a family of dwarf rabbits and going in there for a couple of hours was like being in an entirely different world.
