Purple Dream Announcement

Here is the overview for the new game : Purple Dream

As previously teased, yes, there are two playable protagonists. Introducing our protagonists :

Aika : A serious and diligent teacher. Though she emanates a serious and scary aura, she has a softer and caring side to her.

Shizumi : A shy and quiet student who freezes when faced with any kind of interaction with other people.

For how this two playable character system will work, I'll need to first explain the broader gameplay style. This game features a full day cycle system with an evolving landscape that affects event availability as the day goes on. For the most part, early on in the day there are school related activities available, and after school hours there are leisure activities and part-time jobs. Aside from a few minor exceptions, both protagonists share this general schedule. They both share a somewhat similar schedule, but the activities and events available for Shizumi and Aika, are for the most part, completely different to each other.

Here's where the bread and butter of the game is. At any given point in time, you can switch between Aika, and Shizumi, and play with whichever of them you want. They both have different activities and events available throughout the day, meaning that you will always have two separate sets of events available at any given point in time.

I'll avoid delving into spoilers or anything story related, but a good part of the fun is that both of them have vastly different personalities, as well as duties, which results in both of them offering content that is very different from one another.


Gameplay-wise, the type of content is mixed. On one hand, there are 2D events that are very standard and play like a visual novel. Like the events in Blooming Flower. Then there are 2D interactive events, where you are given options on how to act and react during the on-going event. Then there are the 3D mini-game activities, which are almost exclusively used for the big and meaty activities. In these you can walk around and interact with the NPCs relevant to the event, of course, these interactions can often lead to spicy mini interactions, but even better, these bigger activities generally have multiple sub events with the NPCs that are possible to get into while in the activity, and these events can be either normal 2D events, or interactive events.

The 2D and 3D. The game is mixed on 2D and 3D. A lot of the game is done in 2D, with things such as using the map with which you choose a point of interest and event, normal 2D events, interactive events, there's dialogue boxes with sprites similar to Blooming Flower, etc. The 3D is mostly used for the wardrobe customization system, and for those 3D mini-game activities.

The wardrobe customization system. Long name, but it's due to the technicality of it not being a "customization" system since you cannot change the body and what-not of the protagonists. I'll just call it the wardrobe system. Anyhow, the wardrobe system. This is a big part of the game and a driving force behind a lot of other aspects of the game. You can fully change the appearance of both Shizuma and Aika, whether it's clothes, underwear, accessories, and some other lewder things.

To illustrate how this affects things, here is an example. Aika's main activity will be giving a class, and this single activity will be bolstered with plenty of content, such as various interactions with the NPCs, and and various kinds of interactive events that are available throughout the class. Aika's appearance will have a big effect on the way the students behave. Certain outfits will make it possible for certain interactions to happen, and some other outfits will make it impossible for some other interactions to happen. Some of these are related to the mini interactions that happen during the 3D gameplay, but will generally also extend to the interactive events by affecting the available courses of action during those events.


Let's talk POIs (Point of interest). Inside of the school there are plenty of different POIs for the different activities and events possible. But there are also various POIs outside of the school, and most of them are exclusive to either Aika or Shizumi. Some will be navigable by being fully made in 3D, by having a 3D mini-game activity, and then there are some others that only have events in a 2D format, and thus don't have a full on 3D environment due to not having a need for it. Those POIS are only displayed in 2D. It really depends on the kind of events and gameplay requirements for that POI. As for the kinds of POIs you can expect, a few of the exterior POIs are, convention center, convenience store, train station, bar, beach, bathhouse, the park, and more.

To add to the importance of the wardrobe system, some POIs don't have events available at first. Take the park for example. It's a POI for Shizumi, and at first it's only a leisure POI for her to use to essentially "heal" some stats, but depending on her appearance, she might encourage or discourage a certain group of mischievous NPCs from being, well, mischievous, which will affect whether certain interactions with them happen, and eventually, those interactions can lead to unlocking a full on event line. It's a way of evolving a POI.

As to the specifics of the genres, this game isn't targeting any specific genre. It'll instead offer a wide variety of content. Shizumi and Aika both tend to lean towards certain themes due to their different personalities and duties, on top of that, the different activities and POIs will also offer their own themes. Expect a wide variety of stuff.

An important side note for exposure content. For the most part, everyone currently here is here due to Hana Exposure, and thus are mostly interested in exposure content. This game is not focused on exposure. However, even though it's not the main focus, it still offers pleeenty of exposure content, some of it being a side benefit of the wardrobe system, as well as there being some activities and events that have exposure as the main theme due to the nature of the POI/activity/event.


Last but not least, let's talk about the lewdness progression. The lewdness increase path that I have laid out and am working on is an incredibly lengthy and slow one. In a good way of course. The way I have laid out the progression is in 10 different levels. Really 11 because level 0 is the prologue. Shizumi and Aika will both be taken out of their comfort zone and have to do many things that they otherwise would never do. The idea behind this path is for it to be a very slow burn game, without sacrificing any excitement, by making sure that even though every level will be a small step, it'll still be enough to offer new and exciting content. It'll be a nice and lengthy process of both of them slowly doing their best to keep up as the world around them slowly evolves, and them progressively understanding and becoming more comfortable with their role in this conflict.

This is the actual proper start of this new adventure.
