Inquiry!

I’m lining up my ducks to see how sustainable Patreon can be for me, and what amount of content makes sense and is manageable for me!

Right now, I’ve had my Patreon be very photo based in the last two years that I’ve been running it. However, I’m starting to wonder since my other platforms are video based, if I should balance out how many videos and photos I post here.

At the moment I have about 15 to 18 posts a month that have to be between 20 and 40 photos. Four per week. 2 go to general tier, 2 go to content tier+.

The way I’m thinking of balancing this out would be to change it from a whole month of photos to one week of photos for a character, the next week videos for the same character. it would spread out my content wider so that I have two weeks of content off of one character as opposed to the couple days that I’ve had. As of right now every time I shoot a character (especially when I was doing 10 to 15 characters per month) if I shoot 10 videos, I only have three days of content because of the way reels and TikTok algorithms work. But I’m debating whether I want to change it so this is my video platform and I post majority photos on Instagram. It would slightly slow down my TikTok and reels to make Patreon more video because I’m going to have to get used to shooting more videos than photos, But I feel like videos have a bit more quality, especially from my camera, and a bit more worth posting to the paid platform. I work really hard on what I do and knowing that my good quality videos go to Instagram for the comments to roll in as opposed to hear for the people who actually want to see them.

Would love to know y’all’s thoughts! For the price of your tier would you rather see more high-quality video content, or do the photos feel like they match the cost?

On that same vein, I made an option for it being a lot of content already because my other option and thought for keeping this sustainable would be lessening the amount of content that I post. Content would still be daily, but I would be on a little bit less of a strict schedule. Right now I’m on a weekly schedule of posting sets four times a week, I would probably still do that, but it would be on my own schedule and more like actual “monthly” content than the weekly content I’ve been doing here :,)
