It´s interesting that you do not remember the feelings you had watching this episode back then. Because I will definately remember my feelings for years :D :D
To be honest i didn´t even notice that the outro was different. I guess my mind was occupied by something else :D
So thanks for letting me know :)
I didn´t put those clues together either. Thank you for pointing it out, i think I wouldn´t have noticed if you didn´t :)
This one was even harder than finding posters in the backround :)
Wow that cartoon looks so cool :) Thank you :)
I didn´t remember Mr. Copper. I feel like I´m learning so much from your comment, that´s wonderful :)
A last thank you for this really cool comment with all the information :)

"No broken bones. Slight loss of dignity. No change there, though." - Ianto Jones, "The Stolen Earth"
I really don't remember my feelings at the end of this episode with the regeneration. I'm sure I was mostly spoiler-free going into the episode - it helped not being bombarded with British TV news. It might have had something to do with my history with Classic Who that I was more excited with a Regeneration rather than the loss of the current Doctor.
The "To Be Continued" rather than the next episode trailer meant that for the first time in a while it turns out you could have watched all the way to the end of the video stream.
It's cool that a low-level arc clue for this series was that there were a bunch of missing planets/moons mentioned in the various episodes from the Adipose Breeding Planet to the Lost Moon of Poosh in "Midnight" - and all the planets end up in the finale. I completely missed that as clue to tie together the episodes. There was also the prior mention of "bees" in "Partners in Crime" (and a big wasp a bit later) although I never thought of that as an arc clue.
The Shadow Proclamation scene (with the Judoon) was intended to be another crowd-pleaser bringing back most of the aliens we've seen in the New Who series. There were going to be some Krillitane - that might have made you excited - as we know what episode *that* was from. RTD drew a cartoon of the planned encounter:

Remember Mr Copper from "Voyage of the Damned"? We find out that Harriet Jones's subwave network came from the Mr Copper Foundation. Another continuity tie-in.
Wilf using the paint gun to try to blind the Dalek was a suggestion to RTD by the actor, Bernard Cribbins - we LOVE him. The phrase by the Dalek when it doesn't work "My vision is NOT impaired!" is a callback to several Classic Who episodes and a previous New Who story where the Daleks would say "My vision is impaired!" when someone blinded them.
