They just released a new movie about a girl named maquia and it's probably one of the best of not the most heartbreaking story out there. Dee bee in your spare time watch this movie dubbed too. It gives you a more personal feeling hearing it dubbed for some reason.

It's not a lake or bushes/trees. IDK where you got that from?? He lands in the canal, that the Nishimiya family's apartment overlooks. He lands in the water from a great height - which is kinda like hitting concrete if you fall from high enough. anything over about 4-5 stories can be fatal if you land in it wrong.

i recommend watching it again on your own, there are always little details that you dont notice the first time arround. like nagatuska being there everyday passing him by on hes bike before he knew him, or what im pretty sure DBG didnt notice the scar shouko`` s mother made to his mother after meeting up, she basically `` punished` her instead of her son.

i always find it weird when ppl think he lands in a lake, he lands in the bushes/trees next to building, the egg symbolises him smashing the ground while the lake full of koi fish is just symbolism to show how lucky he was when he fell and managed to survive. Or at least thats what i believe, this movie has so many innuendo`` s to it.

Loved the reaction. I especially liked your delayed reaction to seeing Ishida's big sister. Come to think of it, I didn't see her all that much in the manga as well. I wonder what were the author's intentions regarding that. Aside from the inevitably cut side-content, my only complaint in this movie are the really hard to read subtitles. The only thing the subtitlers needed to do was put a thin black outline on the font and call it a day but they didn't -_-

Shoko was trying to say すき (I love you) Ishida thought she said つき(moon). he simply misheard the す as つ She wasn't trying to say "月が綺麗ですね"idk from where you got that, and that sentence doesn't literally translates to "I love you" but simply to "the moon is beautiful", I actually never heard of that used as a confession. A few points, In the scene where Ishida misunderstands Shoko, she says "Tsuki" - which is from the Japanese phrase "tsuki ga kirei desu ne", which translates to "the moon is beautiful, isn't it?" meaning more like "As the moon, so beautiful". A way that Japanese express love. It literally means "I love you". It's why he confused her talking about the moon because of the way she speaks. The pinky holding sign language you asked about in the scene where Ishida meets shoko at night on the bridge... means "promise". After saying the "friendship" sign this can be translated to "friendship promise" or "promise to be friends forever".

this was well worth 15$ and 2 hours of my time. absolutely beautiful story that had me gripped the entire time. my only gripe was the subtitles were hard to read but it honestly made me focus more. i plan to stay at this tier as this was a great experience and can't wait to watch the other movies and animes with you dee bee! also SPOILER? incase you or anyone wants to read the manga. but appearently the last panel of the series has them holding hands in a way that heavily implying they were together. Thanks for introducing this and akima ga kill to me! also i hope one day you watch "nausicaa of the valley of the wind" as it is one of my favorite anime movies to date! ... now where are my tissues..

Love this movie! Great Reaction! Although since I read the manga first it was hard to see so much side character content cut making some things seem overly vague (especially the Nishimiya family) but the movie would have been 3 times as long if they kept it. Keep up the great work and looking forward to future movie reactions!
