Creator Update: April 2021

Hello everyone!!!

Let's break this down into some categories because I've got a lot I can share about.

• Where I'm at
• What I'm currently doing
• Upcoming and long-term plans

Quick announcement, a friend and writer Chris Hopper recently released our collaboration "Twelve Town Tales" on DriveThruRPG. It's 12 one-shot adventures all set on some of my maps. So check that out if it's something you are interested in.

Where I'm at

I'm doing well. For those of you who don't know I do have a full time job in addition to my mapping stuff, and that's going as well as it can be. If I seem a bit behind on things sometimes, that's probably why. BUT... I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH.

Anyways... The big thing is that the last 2.5 months I've been releasing Dynamic Lighting sets on Roll20. I've released 8-10 sets now and I've started to release 2 a week in addition to mapping. After doing that work myself for a couple of months, I've recently hired a friend and experienced Roll20 DM to do that part for me (mostly), so I can focus back on mapping and mapping related content. So that's where I am.

What I'm Currently Doing

I've got close to three months of content about 80% finished. Here's some of the upcoming sets:

• Forest Farmstead
• Deadly Dungeons
• Tower City: Middle Tower Interiors
• Dwarven City Streets & Interiors
• Forest Temples
• Grand Halls: Church & Library
• Grand Halls: Throne Room & Museum
• Grand Halls: ???
• Fantasy Prison
• Tower City: Lower Streets
• Tower City: Underground Streets

The Grand Halls series is going to be key locations in a palace, wealthy city area, etc. These are going to be specific locations/layouts rather than entire buildings. I also plan on continuing to build out Tower City locations as well, those are fun and I'm super proud of those.

Upcoming and Long Term Plans

In addition to those sets, I really need to work on a castle set of some sort soon, so that's in my brain. I'd like to build out more dungeons, and I'd also like to make a swamp dock-city. I also need to make the upper/wealthy districts for the tower city series.

As far as other stuff, ya'll know those 12 adventures I just talked about? Well I'm currently in the process of making that a Roll20 Adventure Module. I've commissioned an artist/friend to do the art for the 50 tokens I'll need for that set. I don't know when I'll be releasing that but I'm thinking 2-3 months, no promises though.

As far as other things go, I'm keeping a close eye on The Foundry VTT. I'm in the Tabletop Creators Guild Discord and I've been watching interactions with them and while I don't have any immediate plans to port my content into the Foundry, the moment they make that process more user friendly and/or open up a creator marketplace, I 100% plan to jump on board. The currently timeline The Foundry has said for this is some time in 2022, so that's the most news I have about that.
