Weekly Recap #5 + #Inktober

Hello, another week poor on illustrations. But be prepared, the next one will be pretty fat.

Because I decided to start the #inktober challenge this year. For people that never heard it, it's a challenge for artists, one illustration per day, with the sole restriction of using paper and pen.

I guess for easing the perceived tension between artists bound mostly to traditional tools and the digital others.

And I have to admit, going back to paper, where you cannot erase a mistaken stroke, and you have to cope with the roughness of the surface of your medium, was hard, but more appropriately, unusual for me.

That's my first subject (here scanned and polished) I'm not satisfied with the very flat rendering of the image, but I'm here to learn, no?

But what's about?

It's the first of a series dedicated to the worldbuilding, launched by the worldanvil.com community. And it's inspired by the very self-explanatory prompt "world."

Maybe somebody yet noticed that, but, being Italian, I'm deeply fascinated by the idea of a mediterranean-based fantasy, thriving cities along the sea, menaced by the monsters and the barbarians of the mainland.

And I want to create a world and a story for such a kind of setting.

I know that you're here for my naughty stories of musclebears and anthros pounding hard each other, but I hope you reckon that the spark that makes my minicomics so rough and savage is the same that is keeping warm this project.

Obviously, I will publish Alphas too in this period, don't worry. I haven't enough care for my mental health to push aside one thing for the other.

One illustration per day, and to have a double incentive in accomplishing that, I've exported this challenge in habitica.com.

I really want to make october my most magical month of the year.

Stay tuned!

Oh yeah, and I do it also because I want to collect all the dragons and flying piggies.
