So I went back to a course purchased on Udemy this January, with a pretty bombastic name “The Ultimate Drawing Course”, wondering why I dropped a course that I paid with real money.
I immediately remembered it.
Friggin’ lights and shadows on cubes, at the tenth lesson.
Why I don’t skip this crap for sixth-graders and jump to the lessons of anatomy or complex perspectives?
Because I know how these courses, all courses work: they jump from ridiculously simple and boring and slow basics to advanced implementations of principles you should have learned but you don’t remember if it ever happened.
One day the seven-head rule, and then -zac!- all the muscles of the forearm taken for granted.
I got to watch when the leap happens.
