Even tho it's a full album, I liked their mini-albums a lot more, so I was slightly disappointed when it came out. But still, it has good songs.

2025-03-20 03:49:24 +0000 UTCyeah, their music (esp. their more recent albums) is heavily catered towards live performance. they tour every year and are mainly known for their stage presence and charisma when they perform live. and yes, they are self-produced! they have a core team of producers that has worked with them since debut, but the group have more creative freedom than most when it comes to their music (according to keeho, they have fought the company to maintain this right, and their most recent mini-album is their most hands-on yet). the boys enjoy performing live so much, and you really can tell with the style they lean towards with their music lol. intak and jongseob have writing credits for all their songs because of their verses, and jiung and keeho participate a lot with composing (melodies, top-line) and writing lyrics. i am happy to report that Love Story and I See U are primarily composed by jiung (my bias. i love him sm dhdjdjdjdjbdsj) 🥹 jongseob, keeho, and jiung have a bunch of unreleased solo songs on soundcloud! i adore soul and i understand why he likes to step back when it comes to line distribution, but i do wish they would push him to do more, so he can improve and feel more comfortable on stage. i feel like he hasn’t found his singing style yet and his delivery depends heavily on how the other members direct him during recordings. a lot of other idols also barely get any lines in their songs, but soul stands out because of just how strong the other members are in live stages. the members sing most of their lines live, so soul’s parts stand out because more often than not, he lipsyncs what little lines he has. it throws off the balance a little bit. then again, his role does focus more on dance, so ig it’s understandable. have you noticed how much jongseob loves his onomatopoeias? he uses it a lot in his verses and piwon songs in general haha kehoo has a LeeMujin ep where he goes full-on r&b! 👀
