2025-02-15 03:33:59 +0000 UTCATEEZ was kind of popular globally, but not really in Korea and this show definitely made their fanbase grow a lot. You'll see that they don't always do super great in the fan voting portion compared to expert evaluation. They hadn't released Deja Vu yet and they still didn't have a ton of music show wins at the time. I would say Guerrilla is really when their popularity started to dramatically increase and then Bouncy went viral after that. I remember SF9's Good Guy beat Answer on a music show and I was happy for SF9 to get a win, and it's a good song, but I didn't think it was a better song than Answer (I am biased though so that's just my opinion). Watching their variety content before and after Kingdom, you can definitely see a huge shift in Mingi's confidence and happiness. It would have been awesome to have him on the show, but he definitely needed that break.

2024-07-17 21:48:01 +0000 UTCThe Boyz were always very domestically popular since debut, but during RTK have gotten more popular internationally and then after RTK they seemed to find their sound with continuous hits! They debuted around the same time as SKZ under a small agency (cre.ker) but it took them awhile to reach the same amount of popularity. Now I would say they’re well-loved by both domestic and international fans :)
