2024-09-12 04:08:59 +0000 UTCThe guys with the masks dressed in white in Ateez's storyline are android guardians from World Z sent to track down ATEEZ and HALATEEZ to keep them from freeing the people that are controlled in Strictland. The Cromer (hourglass) allows them to travel across time, space, and dreams depending on the phases of the moon which is how they are able to evade them. There is way more to it and how it affects how the stories in the albums are actually ordered vs. the order that they were released in, but hopefully that helps lol. This performance makes me emotional, but I can understand why it's not for everyone (I still don't think it deserved 6th place though). I liked SF9's cover of Move, I thought it was really creative, but the random EDM didn't really seem to serve an actual purpose for me and the water scene at the end felt unnecessary and like an afterthought that ruined the flow of the performance for me. If they had taken those two things out I would have ranked it higher but that's just my personal preference. I actually wasn't a huge fan of The Boyz's performance of Monster, to me it just felt like it didn't live up the original, but also didn't change itself enough for Kingdom if that makes sense? They did great but it didn't really make me feel much other than that they performed well. BTOB was fun but I wish Miyeon could have sang because she was basically just an extra in the performance and ikon's performance felt basically the same as what they have done before + Lisa so it was ok. Stray Kids had such a fun performance and it was all super creative, I loved it!

2024-09-12 00:30:05 +0000 UTCAs a deobi who watched RTK when it came out I do actually prefer their RTK stages but I feel like it has to do with context. Kingdom stages were definitely larger & had a higher budget, but going into RTK at the time only Queendom 1 had come out so there were really no expectations/things to compare to. In my opinion TBZ immediately set the standards so high for the boy groups from even the intro stage and so even though the performances were less extravagant than Kingdom, they felt more impactful. Maybe itโll be different for those who watched Kingdom before RTK? I personally enjoyed RTK a lot more than Kingdom, but maybe Iโm biased lol
