Just be warned.....of all instruments, the violin (just string instruments in general) sound the WORST for beginners which is why adults rarely stick with it bc it just sounds so bad in the beginning and it takes a LOT of practice just to get a good even tone that isn't screechy. It's quite literally chalk on a chalkboard (or in the violin's case, chalk on a metal string). When you're 4 or 5 it doesn't matter bc you don't care, but most adults can't stand the way they sound in the beginning.
