They were my entry to kpop in 2008 since Kim Hyun Joong was in Boys over Flowers.( I accidentally stumbled across the drama) SHINee was my first SM group and after that I fell into the SM hole where by the end my blood ran pink. Similar to what you said , since I was big on SHINee and SS501 I watched so many reality shows with them that by the end you leave with so much knowledge about Korean music in general. SM Entertainment while they aren’t the best company in terms of how they treat their artist , you can’t deny that their company history and teamwork is legendary!

But then again, from 1996-1999 I was going to korea every summer. (and lol, you were right to begin with....soyeon was featured on hyoyeon's song)
