2024-12-08 21:15:49 +0000 UTCI actually watched this show because of Yoo GwanWoo/Liu Guanyou (the guy you were confused who ranked first). He has a big existing fanbase from youth with you season 3 (along with xing xing) and in that show he ranked 4th and debuted in IXFORM which has disbanded. He is very talented, trained in Korea for 3.5 years and almost debuted with MCND and that's why he can speak Korean as well. He's originally actually a main dancer and got famous for his dancing in his fancams but has been taking on more a vocal role on this show to challenge himself. His dancing/singing was acknowledged by the mentors during the first few episodes and he was picked 1st out of everyone during the signal song challenge. Hopefully next stage he'll shine during the dance/singing performance in Energetic!

Hong SungMin 4. Hangyul 5. Ivan 6. Doha Others may vary, there are a lot of other talented guys, but knowing that spots are already taken by guys like Yoo Gwanwoo, influencer, or Sun Yinghao, it's not possible that all my top guys will debute

2024-12-08 10:27:24 +0000 UTCYeah when it comes to technical skills, he was actually in the Top 10 on Boys Planet when it comes to skill. His vocal support is about the same as Karina from Aespa & Sung Hanbin from ZB1, so very underrated singer. Tone is subjective because that doesn’t determine actual skill. For example, I usually tend to prefer more clean and robust vocal tones: Taerae ZB1, D.O Exo, Taeyeon SNSD, etc. I also usually dislike overly nasal tones because they’re usually weaker in support and skill and people can’t tell because fans like their tone: Haechan NCT, Jimin BTS, Sakura Le Sserafim, Shuhua Gidle, etc. To some my feelings up, I think he’s really talented and should debut. Taerae was carried a lot by Korean fans in Boys Planet. He had 2nd, yes 2nd, most Korean votes out of any trainee during the 3rd elimination only being lower than of course Sung Hanbin. His global votes were only about 8th or 9th which is why he was only 4th in that elimination. Global fans weren’t voting him as much because the majority thought his tone wouldn’t suit an idol group, and more as a soloist, but now people can’t imagine ZB1 songs given to any other Main Vocal on BP. This is why tone is subjective and the majority will probably change their mind if he debuts and hears his voice on songs.

2024-12-08 07:47:04 +0000 UTCyour take on congb is so interesting i kind of get it.. i’ve personally loved his voice ever since boys planet but there’s always been something slightly off about it that i feel like doesn’t really fit idol singing? in boys planet i thought maybe it was cuz his pronunciation is off but hearing your take i do think it’s something about his way of singing. i personally don’t agree with you when you said he’s sloppy, i think he did amazing this performance i just think his voice quality/tone is just different and kind of stuck out compared to everyone else in the performance. he has such a technically powerful voice but like u said i feel like it lacks a bit of dynamics? i don’t think he lacks emotion, you can clearly hear it when he’s in his lower register but i guess when he’s belting it feels like the sound is coming out too easily so that it’s almost kind of robotic or choppy. in both bp and here he’s always kind of been in my second tier of picks where i really like them but don’t see them debuting- i could never really picture his voice in an idol group. but then again i know nothing about the technicals of singing at all so i’m probably not the best critic lol
