i was initially scared for groove because from the song snippets from the previews, Only U and Butterfly seemed to have the same vibe and could overlap with their previous stages (Missing You and Second Confession). surprisingly, Only U has been stuck in my head ever since the episode came out and it has also become my personal favourite from the Unit 1 songs πŸ₯Ή i also love how each member got to have their own time to shine, as opposed to having one or two members take all the important parts. part distribution videos have been uploaded on yt and the difference between line distributions among the different teams is quite significant. han is definitely the colour of the group, but i admire how the others also got to sing the chorus (and sing it beautifully at that). juwon is such a solid addition to the team--i've loved his stage presence since day one. hanseo is impressing me more and more--his falsetto part after the dance break is SO GOOD. lastly, in regard to your question about just what it is about groove that has kept them consistently at the top of on-site voting---i dunno how accurate this is since i obviously wasn't there, but according to some people who attended, the live vocals apparently truly just hit different in a live setting. especially considering the set-up, where people at the back can't see the stage and the choreo too well. even if their view is blocked, the live vocals still come through. and apparently, groove has been exceptional in that regard. i am still rooting for team groove ❇️ but with jl and woongki's online votes being added to the team's total twice, it'll be extremely difficult for groove to place first overall even if they place first with on-site voting. also, as somebody mentioned, ep 8 will be on friday (the rest of the Seven round) and ep 9 will be on saturday, which is allegedly the elimination episode as it has been announced that only 21 contestants will make it to the finals on the 24th

Facial expression mastery in survival shows is always an interesting one. Do you vote for the potential or someone who already is trained with it

Not the Hyewon reference lol. Hey, Hyewon is my forever ult and personally I think she improved during debut era the most. (Which makes sense since she has never trained before in the first place.) but I actually think she got a lil' worse after Violeta bcs of some hate she received and was never fully able to embrace the stage again bcs of it. Still love her to bits and enjoy Chihen for his awkward self too. He might improve on that front or might not.. time will tell. I mean Hyewon still became an actress despite all of that. (Btw. trailer for her new thriller drama project in february - Friendly Rivalry - was just released!)

I'm Team Rhythm, but not gonna lie, I love Groove and Beat's songs more😍

They uploaded second unit performances on yt and after watching that and this episode I added Kairi to my lineup, he's a really good and captivating performer, center will prolly be JL but Kairi can do 2nd part of the chorus or second chorus and shine there

Ah i see looks like they're looking to finish the show off this week

Beat having a Producer is coming in clutch. I love their songs! I didn't really like Groove's but that's just my taste in music, I thought they did a brilliant job with them. Rhythm's second song is one of my favourites but weirdly Rollercoaster has been the one that's the biggest earworm for me haha. Global votes being counted twice for players who perform twice is going to be a gamechanger for Team Rhythm! Also not sure if you know but we get 2 eps this week. Ep 8 on Friday and Ep 9 on Saturday :)

Its not that they dont have versatility. Its because they've been prioritizing songs that focus on vocals compared to performance. And seeing as they've won every battle maybe thats the best strategy?

Yeob

I have a question for you Everyone says that team groove needs more versatility and that it is unfair when they win. In my opinion, just because they focus more on vocals doesn't mean they can't dance, they've already shown that they can. What do you think? Do you think they have little versatility?
