That's already super impressive! I tried my hand at a couple instruments and singing throughout the years but I'm just not talented in that regard π Yes I also believe that's where Joanna must be from. I can't wait for you to see more either, I'll definitely be watching :)

That must be where we get Joanna from, but pronouncing the J with the "dg" sound. You can absolutely tell this drama has a lot of symbolism an we can't wait to see more!

2023-10-24 21:38:58 +0000 UTCThat's so cool! I sing a lot of German (classical like Schumann and Wagner) but I definitely can't speak it. There's so many German composers named Johann/Johannes so it makes a lot of sense that phonetically it would be similar to that.

And yeah, we are usually really careful about looking up things about the dramas because we don't want spoilers! Especially historical ones but this could be really interesting for sure! 2023-10-24 21:02:21 +0000 UTCYisak = Isaac π Obviously thereβs a lot of catholic/christian references in this drama, especially in Yohanβs family but honestly Iβm not religious so Iβm not good at interpreting all of them but I heard the names of the Kang family recall those of the prophets of the Old Testament. I think Yohan is actually the official Korean equivalent of John. I also wanted to tell you the writer of this show, Moon Yooseok, is actually a former judge himself. I recommend looking up some more info about the show, for example its Wikipedia page, to learn about a lot of the references and inspirations that made him write such a compelling piece, both real life events and literature. They include novels like Beauty and the Beast and Faust for example. But of course beware of spoilers :)
