NO flowers from a convenience market. The only store near us is Safeway. I would get so ๐ก at Safeway flowers. It just said to me โHey I didnโt think about you until I was almost home and this is all there wasโ. But since we are both grown ups - I politely asked him to stop doing that as it just makes for a tense evening. He was relieved and I didnโt have to think about it. We agreed that everyday is Valentineโs. After a few years he surprised me with a huge custom bouquet ๐ from a florist and it was spectacular. He understood at that moment what I meant and he realized itโs not the gift itโs the thought and planning we want. We are married 28 years this April and we got take out for dinner this year from a tiny local struggling restaurant and it was perfect.
