Yes as Mark said, there will have to be a lot of build up, planning, and political world building to start this season. We have to keep in mind that season 2 ended with them starting their political invasion of Falmuth, facing Clayman's forces in a war, and Walpurgis, where there was a lot of fighting and massive changes to the Demon Lords council. After multiple major events like that, it is absolutely essential to take a step back and examine the impact they will have on the world and see other nations' and organizations' reactions to the craziness. Our MC in this series is the leader of a nation. He is not a generic Shonen hero who jumps from battle to battle. The beauty of this anime lies in the phenomenally complete world that it builds and the intricate political plots and interactions that come from it! It is not a battle Shonen.

Diablo mentioned them when he was fighting Razen in S2 Ep 11 and Razen summoned the earth spirit War Gnome ... he said 'angels are strong against spirits, spirits are strong against demons, and demons are strong against angels'. But that was all we got.
