Luminus did know it was Veldora at Walpurgis, and she is the one who gave the 'oracle' to Hinata. But the other Ten Saints at the meeting have no contact with Luminus. All communication with her comes either through the Pope (Louis) or Hinata, their captain. So, considering what they know about Veldora, and how quiet he is being now, it makes sense that they doubt the oracle a little bit. Tbh, some of the Ten Saints have a good point. Rimuru IS doing something that can be seen as evil or dangerous from their point of view. He is not just existing peacefully. He is manufacturing a civil war in a human nation with the intention of destroying their current ruling class and installing new rulers that will be friendly with Tempest. Not exactly something they want to just let happen lol The Ten Saint's reaction to hearing the truth of the battle from Reyhiem is the perfect representation of how all human nations would view Rimuru if the truth were spread to everyone. Keep in mind, these Ten Saints are some of the strongest humans in the world. If even they are that afraid of the story and it causes them to lose all trust in Rimuru, imagine how it would affect the weak humans of other nations! No humans would go anywhere near Tempest.
