Hi Tony and everyone, just a PSA to watch out for fake youtube accounts impersonating the real account that reply to your yt comments - telling you that you were selected for a giveaway. It’s a scam. I’m ashamed to admit that I nearly fell for it.

If I were to receive such a gift, even though I don't work on that many old electronics, I would hold it in a place of incredible honor... and I wouldn't let anyone else use them... or touch them. Heck, I probably wouldn't let anyone smell them. The smells would be all mine!

2022-12-19 16:03:16 +0000 UTCI recently ordered some precision balls, plan to rebuild the Y axis ball nut. I've never done such a thing, will def be a video. Spindle still losing oil. Best I can tell it doesn't really have a real seal... I guess they just kept topping it up? Maho definitely not finished. I don't think it'll ever be finished. :)

I was going back through your Maho series recently, and I was wondering if perhaps we could get an update, or perhaps see some of the cut footage from the Y-axis video? Maybe I missed the answers but I was wondering things like, what turned out to be the problem when oil came out of the spindle, and how did you fix that crunchy ball nut? Have you done anything more with the "CNC lathe" mode from the "VIDEO!" video? Totally understand if you consider the Maho series finished, but would love an even deeper dive some time. Thanks again and all the best!
