The long-awaited film adaptation of the Broadway musical based on the Gregory Maguire book inspired by the 1939 film adaptation of the L. Frank Baum book is finally here!

Wicked tells the story of the witches of Oz, Elphaba & G*linda, as they meet at college, become friends, and definitely do not fall in love with each other. Along the way they meet a talking goat, a hot guy, and Jeff Goldblum, all devoid of saturation and heavily backlit. Yep, it's gonna be one of those tracks!

Look there's so much to love about Wicked, but there's also plenty to loathe. For every Cynthia Erivo song there's a Michelle Yeoh song. For every Anthony Bridgerton there's a Spongebob. For every Dancing Through Life there's a Defying Gravity.

Wait, what's wrong with Defying Gravity?? Oh hunny, buckle up for the most explosive finale to any PMI commentary track ever.

You’re right. The snow in the poppy field in the original Wizard of Oz was actually asbestos.

If you guys did Dark Side of Oz, I would have to sink up your track, the movie, and the pink Floyd Album. Idk if I could handle that, lol.

also, although L. Frank Baum "only" wrote 14 novels within the Oz universe during his lifetime, there are 40 considered canonical to the universe - his publisher decided to keep the series going after Baum's passing - they're referred to as the "Famous Forty" - maybe a book series after Cirque Du Freak? haha

"this is so Showman right now" me: nodding along in agreement sipping my wine classily as if we're in a forum

Funny thing, I had the EXACT same thought about G*linda wanting the professor to pronounce her name correctly in the theather. But then I watched another commentary that immediately called HER out for being racist in that scene. And then I thought about it and yeah, like this girl is bashing this professor for basically having an accent and not being able to say certain words correctly.

They do show the time dragon clock, It’s literally the very next shot right after “Popular” ends.

The greatest thing about Wicked will always be that a production in London went ahead with the show literally hours after Queen Elizabeth died, complete with the opening lyric "Good news, she's dead."
