Today marks the official one-year anniversary of my girlfriend being on HRT. This means that for one year so far, she has been able to grow towards being the person she is today. Her skin is so soft, her hair is so long, and her eyes are as loving as ever.
I feel very strongly about what it means to be a partner who supports someone during their transition. I feel that it is a privilege to love, to understand, and to see that kind of vulnerability in someone. I have so much respect for Freya, and feel that she is one of the strongest and most radiant individuals I have ever met in my life. It is an honor to know her and a joy to love her.
I'm so excited to print this out later and give it to her! Since today is her "Rebirthday", I have prepared a small gift basket of her favorite bath bombs from Lush, a necklace in the shape of a sword, and this drawing.
