I'm so glad they used the word, nunnery. In the previous episode it said in the subtitles that Lady Lishu had been given to a monastary so I found that really sick and disturbing. I'll assume monastary was a translation error and she actually went to live in a nunnery. I feel relieved about that. This show can get dark at times and I didn't want to have to wonder about *why* she would have been given to a monastary. We don't see her often but I feel such an attachment to that poor little lady. She breaks my heart every time we see her.

2025-06-03 11:32:10 +0000 UTCPerhaps the only thing I don't like about this show is how Lishu's servants are allowed to treat her. In the first season, Maomao implies that a single mistake can result in a servant being executed, but Lishu's servants get away with openly disrespecting her.
