The Boggrave Demon is coming soon!
Added 2023-03-06 20:42:22 +0000 UTCA LARGE Legendary swamp monster, made of the swampy flora that litters sunken graveyards, as well as the bones of the creatures who have died there. The Boggrave Demon endlessly scours the flooded cemetery from which it became, fusing itself with corpses and obtaining simple abilities from the deceased, such as extra limbs for attacking, or more armor from dead knights clad in steel. It has taken a treacherous form from this, which consists of countless spikes of branch and bone, now harming anything that dares grapple it or attempt to climb the demon. Its swampy lair gives it a strategic advantage in battle, where it will retreat under the water and reappear elsewhere within the same marsh. During battle, it may even temporarily flee to gather more mass, possibly healing itself, becoming larger, and gaining new abilities. It can even raise skeletal minions from the graves or from its own body. Has some control over the swamp lair's water, giving it the ability to try drowning anything at least half-submerged, but the lair is decorated with many tombstones for characters to traverse across for safety.
Legends describe a raging storm that persisted without mercy for the longest time, flooding villages and killing all kinds of life. Once a skeletal corpse covered in overgrowth appeared across these villages being ravaged by the storms and floods, demanding the people offer their dead to a specific swampy graveyard, and in return the devastation will stop. Now, the Boggrave Demon exists as a sort of swamp god to these people, but who's to say this fiend wasn't the source of all this corruption?
