In reference to Meronica’s pearls: I graduated from high school in ‘86 and the girls were definitely wearing pearls then. They wore pearls with sweaters, Izod polo shirts, prom dresses… and they were cheap fake pearls.

To add to what other folks have said and to echo Nova, Lumpe's photo was was giving 80's but is was more of a Teri Nunn, Dale Bozzio, kind of vibe, tainted with a Saved by the Bell "realness", than it was Glamour Shots. I had friends who did GS back in the day and remember thinking how ridiculous the photos were. They were always this soft focused (think RuPaul, season one of Drag Race), feather boa or lingerie, curled 80's hair as opposed to the messy, spikey-ish, Cyndi Lauper look Lumpe was rocking, and a come hither look on the faces of the women and men, (yes, occasionally men did them too) that got their photos done. As for the look, think Tiger King's boudoir photos (which I know isn't 80's but it works here) meets the TV show Dallas. It's a very specific 80's vibe as opposed to just 80s glamour. I do want to say I love Lumpe's photo though. If this were an 80's pop princess challenge, Lumpe would have like totally nailed it! However Glamour Shots is a like, a totally different vibe.

Definitely agreeing with Novas judging over Olympias in this episode, agree we need a bit of naff for 80s glam shot ! Meronica, Shalissa and Traffic Zeta-Cones hit the nail on the head for me !

Bulky shoulder pads would've done Meronica wonders. Teena's croquet ball should be red. Did she have a brain tumor for breakfast?! As far as lulzy creativity goes, Wilhelmina is The One!

I think there's been some confusion between "Glamour Shots" and "80's Glam" which are very different. Here in the US, the actual store chain that you went to in the mall was called "Glamour Shots" and they did a very specific sort of style that (I think, anyway) you guys asked for. It was borderline "boudoir" photos known for desperate housewives getting these photos done as "gifts" for their husbands trying to rekindle their love lives. They'd go in, get a very glamourous makeover with hair and makeup and have a stylist pick out outfits for them and do some very ... interesting... poses against cheesy backdrops. :D There was a lot of plain "80's Glam" photos this week which isnt what I thought the brief was asking for. But those who did that were REALLY good at it :D So that made it difficult lol

The judging was so questionable I almost thought I was watching Season 3 of Drag Race UK instead of Arsehole Race 😥

The pic was super 80's (I was there too... Yeah I'm old AF) but I was getting more Cyndi Lauper photo shoot from Lumpe than Glamour Shots, all though I loved the photo.

Disqualify Nova immediately from the juding panel. Luumps headshot has all the 80s references you would get in a mall store glamour shot or even a school picture glamour shot from the 80s. Trust me, I was there lol

I love Scream Cheese!! I collect Memento Mori. Technically…it is an 80s glamour shot. These photos were taken with full period dress and makeup as mementos kind of like glamour shots in the 1980s, just a bit lore on the dark side. I have an original in my apothecary room, and a giant tattoo of one on my back. Way to go Cheese!! Hell way to go everyone!! TEAMARSEHOLES!!

At the end of the day it all comes down to the personal taste of the judges and when it’s their own show that is 💯% valid. That being said I generally agree with their decision 😂
