I did the same thing when I was 4 and my mom accidently cut me when I was standing too close to her (she was trying to open up a new Barbie I had) and accidently cut me on my arm with a pair of scissors. One of the assistant preschool teachers who was like 16 maybe 19 at the most asked about it she was like "What happened?" and I said "My mom cut me." Lmao, luckily she didn't call anyone as my mother worked across the hall in the infant room and she knew her lmao. It's so weird what you remember

I totally agree with you, everyone’s different reactions made the whole thing so funny but also kinda sweet at the end. And yes, Mr. Ehlert’s commercial was ridiculous, but in the best way.
